Disney On Ice

Every year I see the commercial for Disney On Ice and I have always wanted to go.  I have never been able to go due to school or other priorities.  Well, this year neither Kent nor I are in school so I thought it would be fun to take Emma.  Well Kent did not really want to go, so I decided to ask my friend Annie if she would want to go with her daughter Lilly.  Lilly just turned one so I thought it would be a great birthday gift for her.  We had so much fun with the girls.  Lilly stayed awake the entire show and Emma was awake for about 2/3 of it.  I definitely hope we can make this a tradition and go every year.

They are already such good friends!

Thank you Annie and Lilly for spending the day with us.  Emma and I had so much fun!

Emma's First Christmas Tree: Part 2

Well, once we moved the tree into the house we realized it was once again slightly too tall.  After cutting about a foot off of the bottom and trimming the top it fits perfectly in our home.  Emma was not as curious about the tree as I thought she would be when we first put it up, but once we hung the lights and ornaments she was definitely more interested.  We made sure to put all of the non-breakable ornaments on the bottom so she could take them off, which she seems to enjoy doing.  Kent and I are really enjoying watching Emma as she experiences new things such as Christmas trees and ornaments.  Emma definitely reminds us of what Christmas is all about and we are so thankful for her.

Emma's First Christmas Tree: Part 1

While we were home for Thanksgiving we decided to pick out our Christmas tree and bring it back to Pullman with us.  After spending an hour or so looking for a tree we finally found one.  It came down to two trees and of course Kent and I both liked the ones we chose better than the other's.  Finally, Kent decided he liked my tree, but I am pretty sure he just wanted to be done choosing a tree.  Kent absolutely hates Christmas tree shopping because I am so picky and for the past two years we have come home with a tree two sizes to big.  The tree we chose was on a hillside which made cutting it not so much fun, but it was easier than last year since he was not cutting it in two feet of snow.

Snowy Adventures

Well our first snow has come and gone, but not without a few snowy adventures.

I am not too sure about this.

I guess it is alright!

WSU vs UTAH

A few weeks ago some friends of ours gave us tickets to the WSU vs Utah football game.  Though it was extremely cold outside and had just snowed we thought it would be fun to go since we have not been to a game this year.  Well, it wasn't as cold as we thought it would be and Emma seemed to really enjoy watching all of the people.  The actual game was not very interesting to any of us, so at half time we thought we would venture over to visit our friends Kristen and Kylan.  While we were visiting them the weather decided to turn to a blizzard, so we decided it was probably a good time to leave.  After viewing our friends pictures and walking through the blizzard we are very glad to left when we did.

Emma stayed nice and toasty thanks to our friends Becky and Jason!

9 Months Old

Well Emma is 3/4 of the way through her 1st year!!!  At 9 months Emma is pulling her self up to the coffee table and couch.  She is beginning to move around the table and along the side of the couch.  She recently started doing a bear crawl to move around.  And of course the most exciting and tiresome news is that Emma has cut her first tooth.  Emma and mommy have had a few rough nights this last week, but her tooth has finally cut through so I am hoping Emma will begin to feel better until she begins to cut her next tooth.  Emma also had her 9 month doctors appointment.  She weighed in at 19 lbs and she was 27 1/2 inches long.  Once again her head circumference is in the 97% which of course means she is very smart! :)  Our little girl does not seem so little these days!

Pumpkin Carving & Harvest Festival

Before Emma and I headed back to Pullman I wanted to make sure we carved our pumpkins with Kent.  Below are a few pictures of our pumpkin carving adventures.  Emma seemed to like to chew on the pumpkin.  She was not so sure about the slimy pumpkin guts though.

Every year for Halloween our church puts on a Harvest Festival.  Though Emma was not able to play the games she had fun watching the other children play.  Of course the one game Emma did try involved a kids pool, water, and rubber ducks.
